The problem

The client, a European incumbent operator, wanted to gather historical and up-to-date data on fixed and mobile services to gain an impartial view of how it was performing and identify where future improvements could be expected.

The solution

Analysys Mason provided service and financial KPIs of 15 leading operators in 13 countries.

We collated metrics on retail fixed voice and broadband services (and where available, VoIP and mobile broadband services). Performance and financial data was gathered from regulators and operators. Where no data was available publicly, we calculated expected figures based on our extensive internal data.

This is an ongoing benchmark, in which data is collected on a quarterly basis.

The result

Each quarter, we present the benchmark data in Excel format, including historical as well as current service KPIs. We also provide a PowerPoint slide pack highlighting interesting trends and key findings.

The client uses our benchmarking data to track other operators' service and financial performance measures in different markets around the world.
