The problem
Having successfully acquired a licence for operating a nationwide mobile network in Pakistan, a mobile operator turned to Analysys Mason to help launch operations in the country.
The solution
Analysys Mason provided a full-time in-country team to manage all aspects of the programme, including vendor management.
Our team managed the roll-out of core and radio sites across the country, including more than 15 cities and major road and rail links.
We also developed processes and procedures for the business and established handover processes and procedures to run post-launch projects.
The result
The operator launched seven months after engaging Analysys Mason and became one of the fastest-growing mobile network operators in the world.
Because of our work, the operator was able to fast-track the network deployment process as well as the enterprise systems and retail networks to support the business.
Our robust business processes enabled our client to accelerate growth: it gained 1 million subscribers in less than 80 days.
Having worked with our experts, the operator's team gained the confidence to undertake post-launch projects – including the management of deploying a WiMAX network.
The operator has used the template to successfully launch new operations in Bangladesh as well as in Africa.
