Franco is based in Analysys Mason's Milan office and brings over 25 years of expertise in the telecoms industry. He specialises in business development and strategy, with deep experience in commercial and technical due diligence for digital infrastructure M&A, business transformation and operational excellence. Throughout his career, Franco has played a key advisory role in several high-impact telecoms transactions across Europe.
Franco has assisted infrastructure funds, financial institutions and telecoms operators on key telecoms assets transactions (fibre networks, mobile towers, data centres). Recent notable engagements include leading a multi-billion euro refinancing due diligence for a major fibre operator, advising on the development of a data-centre platform in Southern Europe, and crafting the business strategy following the merger of two B2B telecoms operators.
Franco’s strong background in the technology, media and telecoms sectors stems from more than 15 years spent working with leading operators such as 3 Italy, Veon and Windtre and technology vendors like Ericsson.
He holds an M.Sc. in Telecommunication Engineering from Marche Polytechnic University in Italy, a post-graduate Master's in Information and Communication Technology from CEFRIEL Milano Polytechnic, and is a Harvard Business School Alumni having completed the Executive Education Program.
