Lorcan has consulted on a wide range of projects across the telecoms, media and technology industries. His areas of expertise include transaction support, business planning, technology strategy, technical assurance, radio planning and geographical information systems (GIS). His clients include investors, fixed and mobile telecoms operators, regulators, public-sector organisations and central and local government.
He led the intervention-area-definition workstreams for a number of major next-generation broadband projects and technical workstreams on multi-market mobile tower transactions. Prior to joining Analysys Mason, Lorcan chaired and managed the working group tasked with investigating and providing recommendations for the Irish digital-terrestrial television service. Lorcan has also worked as a researcher at Analysys Mason, focusing on telecoms software. He holds a BE in electronic engineering from University College Dublin and an MBA from the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School.
