Simon is a Partner in Analysys Mason’s Munich team, specialising in due diligence and financial advisory services. He joined the company when Analysys Mason acquired Telescope Advisory Partners, the boutique consulting firm co-founded by Simon to offer transaction support, value creation and innovation strategy consulting, especially for private equity clients.
Simon’s work with private equity partners focuses on solving the information asymmetry challenge to help unlock the potential for innovation and growth in software and IT services.
He has always been fascinated by the complexity of financial engineering when applied to corporate business models. This interest, coupled with an innovative, entrepreneurial spirit, drove him to launch his own advisory firm in the complex private equity market in 2010. His mission has remained unchanged: to help clients make the best investment decisions at each stage of the deal lifecycle in a way that maximises value creation.
Simon’s core areas of specialisation are software and ICT infrastructure, but he has applied this expertise across the construction sector and the development of sustainable cities.
He grew up in the Rhine Valley, graduated in Business Administration at LMU Munich, and became the youngest ever participant in Technical University of Munich’s Executive MBA Programme for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Outside work, Simon enjoys his family life, winter sports and golf.
