The acquisition of Arca will enable Accenture to expand its engineering, design, deployment and operation capabilities in the network domain, including voice, data, fixed, mobile and IoT systems, and to create an integrated network management offering for CSPs and vendors. Furthermore, Arca’s integrated platform, which aims to maximise the efficiency of processes such as network monitoring and system anomalies prediction, will complement Accenture’s SynOps platform. This combination will advance the company’s ability to help organisations to optimise operating models.
The merger should enable Accenture to compete more effectively with companies such as Ericsson, Huawei and Nokia, all of which have strong and long-standing network capabilities, in the areas addressed by Arca. It will also help Accenture to stand out from other systems integrators (SIs) that have fewer network capabilities. Arca’s 650-plus employees are mainly based in Spain at the time of the acquisition, and will enhance Accenture’s network capabilities in Spain, and more broadly in Europe.
