Growth in the volume of cellular connected car traffic will mostly be generated by systems, not users
Analysys Mason forecasts that global cellular data traffic from connected cars will rise from 1800PB in 2023 to 13 500PB in 2029. In addition, our IoT forecast indicates that connected cars will generate USD5.1 billion in connectivity service revenue by 2029. Despite the expected increase in the volume of data traffic (at a CAGR of nearly 40%), connected cars will account for 1–2% of mobile traffic in 2029.
