Cloud-managed home Wi-Fi is a must for operators, and vendors are poised to enjoy continued revenue growth
There is great interest among the investor community in the cloud-managed home Wi-Fi software market, as demonstrated by the USD1.35 billion valuation achieved by Wi-Fi software and service vendor Plume in February 2021. However, there is uncertainty about both the potential for such vendors to continue growing and the value of such services to operators. In this article, we assess the benefits of cloud-managed home Wi-Fi software from an operator’s perspective, as well as the current state of the vendor market and the opportunities for vendors to continue growing.
