Communications service providers (CSPs) will increasingly use public cloud infrastructure to support their own IT requirements. Indeed, many CSPs have already taken the decision to shift some of their IT systems to public cloud providers (PCPs), including major players such as AT&T, BT, KDDI, Lumen, NTT, Orange, SK Telecom, Telecom Italia, Telefónica, Telstra, Verizon and Vodafone. 

This comment highlights the factors that have contributed towards the changing attitudes within the telecoms industry to the adoption of public cloud services.
