Partnering with Amazon eero will not be an attractive option for all operators
Amazon-owned eero announced its ‘eero for Service Providers’ partner programme in October 2020. This enables ISPs to sell eero mesh Wi-Fi hardware and benefit from the accompanying Wi-Fi network analytics software and a Wi-Fi network-level security service. Operators have a wide range of choices for how to enhance their home Wi-Fi propositions; the eero for Service Providers programme provides another option. This comment assesses the advantages and disadvantages for operators that are considering signing up to the programme.
