European quarterly metrics update 4Q 2024: mobile service revenue declined in Western Europe

The European telecoms market was relatively stagnant in 4Q 2024. Total service revenue rose by just 0.7% quarter-on-quarter (QoQ). This was mostly due to the 0.5% QoQ drop in mobile service revenue in WE, though mobile service revenue in CEE grew by 1.4% QoQ. Fixed broadband retail revenue also grew more in CEE than in WE in 4Q 2024.
