This article highlights major market developments from Analysys Mason’s 4Q 2024 update of its European quarterly metrics for both Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) and Western Europe (WE). The full dataset for all 32 countries is available in the Analysys Mason DataHub.

The European telecoms market was relatively stagnant in 4Q 2024. Total service revenue rose by just 0.7% quarter-on-quarter (QoQ). This was mostly due to the 0.5% QoQ drop in mobile service revenue in WE, though mobile service revenue in CEE grew by 1.4% QoQ. Fixed broadband retail revenue also grew more in CEE than in WE in 4Q 2024.
