NEC’s acquisition of CSG will enhance its financial, technological and operational strengths
NEC has started the process of acquiring CSG Systems (CSG), and plans to merge the company with its digital enablement systems business, Netcracker. This is a significant move within the telecoms business support systems (BSS) industry.
NEC hopes that the acquisition will make Netcracker a dominant player in the BSS market and will result in a revenue increase of around 30%. Netcracker will also be able to use CSG’s established customer experience (CX) management technologies and extensive client network to create a more comprehensive portfolio.
