Nokia announced O-RAN products before its competitors, but the ecosystem must still develop
In early July 2020, Nokia became the first of the network equipment providers (NEPs) to announce RAN products based on the O-RAN Alliance’s open interfaces architecture, but the success of O-RAN depends on the availability of a wide ecosystem – component integration and testing will be key.
