Analysys Mason attended Oracle CloudWorld 2022 in Las Vegas on 17–20 October 2022, where the vendor showcased the growing Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) business and shared its strategy and roadmap. We believe that Oracle has made significant progress in narrowing the gap between OCI and the platforms of other major public cloud providers (PCPs). It is moving away from being a follower and is becoming a differentiated vendor with distinctive capabilities that are likely to be particularly attractive to players with privacy/security- and performance-sensitive workloads, including telecoms operators.
