As the roll-out of 5G continues, communications service providers (CSPs) must take more precautions to protect themselves against the security threats that 5G-based services leave them vulnerable to. CSPs are responsible for providing business-critical services that handle sensitive data, and which they have traditionally preferred to secure in-house. However, CSPs should consider moving viable workloads to SaaS-based deployments, not only because it can save them money, but also because it can offer other benefits, such as improved security.
