Sigfox’s new leadership and refocused strategy may improve its fortunes, but challenges remain
Sigfox announced a new CEO and deputy CEO in February 2021. It is not the first time that senior management at Sigfox has changed, and Sigfox had reduced its workforce in 2020. The organisational changes are part of a shift in Sigfox’s strategy. It is now focusing less on geographical expansion, and more on achieving scale by growing its business where it is already present. This article discusses how Sigfox is attempting to streamline its operations by reducing its cost base and adjusting its operating model to simplify the supplier/customer relationship.
