US cable operators’ cellular network roll-outs could improve their position in the mobile market
US cablecos have increased their share of subscribers in the mobile market with their MVNO agreements and this growth could continue. However, the cablecos could build on their existing MVNOs by deploying their own cellular networks in some areas and then supplementing this coverage with MVNO agreements. This article assesses the scope for cablecos to use this strategy and the difference this could make to their mobile businesses.
