Wireless Logic’s purchase of Arqia is a further sign of the threat that IoT disruptors pose to MNOs
Wireless Logic announced the purchase of Arqia, a Brazilian IoT MVNO, in April 2025 (neither payment terms or a valuation were disclosed). Wireless Logic has acquired more than 15 companies in total, including 10 between 2020 and 2023, but this was the first deal since acquiring Webbing in August 2023.
The deal is interesting because of Arqia’s size and geographical focus. Arqia manages more than 3 million IoT devices, making it Wireless Logic’s largest acquisition to date in terms of the number of devices. Arqia also has a significant presence in Brazil, a country that has received considerable attention from IoT providers in recent years.
The acquisition will not be without challenges, such as how to integrate the networks, platform and staff into Wireless Logic and how to address the recent rise in competition in the Brazilian IoT market. However, Wireless Logic will strengthen its position in a crowded IoT connectivity market if it can overcome these challenges. This will have implications for both smaller players and larger MNOs that should view players such as Wireless Logic as a significant threat.1
