Communications service providers (CSPs) are accelerating their 5G standalone (SA) deployments to enable the full potential of network slicing. However, private network slices will not completely replace on-premises networks, so hybrid solutions are likely to be seen in the coming years that combine both on-premises and sliced components. These will require new service management and orchestration (SMO) platforms.
