"Today’s centralised peering model will not support emerging industrial edge use cases."

The expansion of carrier-neutral data centres into regional locations has de-centralised interconnect and taken it to the metro edge. However, emerging edge use cases will require deeper interconnect at the industrial edge because they are distributed and mobile, and have requirements that cannot be met by centralised interconnect. This convergence presents new opportunities for operators and edge node builders.

Information included in this report

  • Analysis of the convergence of the interconnect and industrial edge
  • Insights and information on  the emerging edge use cases that are driving the convergence
  • Overview of the opportunities this presents for operators and other edge node builders
