Many communications services providers’ (CSPs’) and OSS/BSS vendors’ operational systems and services are currently being exposed through APIs, which are often managed by standalone, quick-fix solutions. However, this approach may lead to increased complexity in the future. CSPs must adopt a more-holistic strategy for API management.
Information included in this report
- An examination of the operational implications of API exposure
- An overview of the tools that are currently in use
- The efforts that CSPs will be required to undertake to support telecoms-specific APIs
- The strategies that CSPs should consider to support public APIs
